DashPass is heavily promoted inside the DoorDash app with "0$ delivery fee" buttons that instantly sign you up for a free trial. Millions of users forget to cancel it, resulting in a recurring $9.99/mo charge.

Because DoorDash handles its own billing, you cannot cancel this through Apple or Google. You must do it natively inside the app or website.

How to Cancel in the App

Open DoorDash

Open the DoorDash app on your iPhone or Android. Ensure you are logged into the account paying the bill.

Open Account Settings

Tap your Profile/Account icon in the top right corner of the home screen.

Select Manage DashPass

Under your account options, tap Manage DashPass.

End Subscription

Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap the End Subscription button.

Confirm Cancellation

DoorDash will offer you a retention deal or ask why you are leaving. Continue clicking to confirm the cancellation until you see a success message.

The Chase Sapphire Trap

⚠️ Warning for Chase Cardholders: Many users get a free year of DashPass via a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Reserve credit card. Do not click cancel if you are using this benefit! Canceling the membership revokes your free access entirely, even if you were eligible for more free months.

If you accidentally switched from your complimentary Chase benefit to a paid tier, do not cancel yet. Simply change your default payment method back to your Chase Sapphire card inside the DoorDash app to reactivate the free benefit.
